Something About Me
My Journey
Originally from Italy, where food plays a central role in culture and family life, I have always been fascinated by its impact on well-being. However, my own journey with weight and eating challenges has deeply influenced my career.
From a young age, I struggled with obesity, which affected my self-esteem and health. During university, I developed an eating disorder, losing 20 kilograms in a few months without medical or nutritional support. Over time, I worked to rebuild a healthy relationship with food and my body, an experience that inspired my passion for guiding others through similar struggles.
After earning a Master’s degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology and beginning my career as a pharmacist, I recognised that medication alone often doesn’t address the root causes of health issues. This realisation led me to pursue a Postgraduate Diploma in Personalised Nutrition from Middlesex University and specialise in areas such as weight management and eating disorder recovery.
My Approach and Coaching Style
My personalised, coaching-style approach helps clients take small, manageable steps toward their health goals, ensuring the journey feels empowering, supportive, and sustainable. Together, we work to establish lasting habits that support overall well-being and fit seamlessly into daily life, avoiding the overwhelm that often comes with significant lifestyle changes.
For weight loss, my focus is on teaching clients how to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle first. This approach prioritises building a strong foundation before addressing active weight loss, which naturally follows as a by-product of healthy habits. The goal is to move away from the “diet mentality” that often leads to rapid weight loss followed by relapse, leaving clients without the tools to maintain their progress.
Instead of relying on restrictive diets or meal plans, I empower clients to learn what balanced nutrition looks like and how it can make them feel great. Over time, these practices become an integral part of their lives, ensuring they feel confident in maintaining their health long after our work together is complete.
Empowerment and Independence
My ultimate aim is to equip clients with the skills and knowledge they need to feel completely independent in managing their health and weight. By the end of our journey together, clients will know how to shop for nutritious ingredients, prepare and cook amazing meals, and even create their own meal plans when desired.
The goal is to integrate these changes into their lives in a way that works for them, ensuring they can navigate any situation—whether on holiday, out with friends, or at family gatherings—without feeling deprived or out of control. This independence is the cornerstone of long-term success, allowing clients to maintain their health and weight on their own terms.
Addressing Emotional Eating and Behavioural Patterns
My approach also delves into emotional eating and the behavioural patterns that may hinder progress. Many people find themselves stuck in unhelpful behavioural cycles that impact their eating habits and overall well-being. Through coaching, I help clients identify and break these patterns by addressing the underlying emotional triggers.
This process includes developing healthier coping mechanisms, creating awareness around the reasons behind eating behaviours, and helping clients build a positive, balanced relationship with food. Together, we work on every aspect of their eating habits—emotional, behavioural, and practical—so food becomes a supportive part of their life rather than a source of stress or guilt.
A Holistic Journey
This is not just about weight loss or nutrition—it’s a whole journey that touches on every aspect of life to help clients create balance and harmony. From learning how to make better food choices to understanding how their emotions and lifestyle impact their health, the process helps clients put food back in its rightful place: as a source of nourishment and enjoyment, not control or anxiety.
My step-by-step approach ensures clients always feel supported, with regular sessions to keep the momentum going and prevent overwhelm. Meal plans or strict diets are only prescribed in specific cases where medical conditions or evidence-based needs require them—not for weight loss or eating disorder support.
Hands-On Support
As part of my practice, I offer food shopping trips where I accompany clients to supermarkets, helping them discover new foods and learn how to incorporate these into their diets. These sessions go beyond shopping—they include practical guidance on preparation and cooking, making the process interactive, enjoyable, and empowering.
To further support clients in understanding their eating patterns and lifestyle habits, I incorporate the use of a dedicated app that acts as a food and lifestyle journal. This tool helps clients track their progress, identify patterns, and build awareness around their choices.
Additionally, I provide access to a body composition monitor as an alternative to traditional scales. This allows us to track progress by focusing on changes in body composition—such as muscle mass, fat percentage, and overall health metrics—rather than solely relying on weight. This method provides a more holistic view of the client’s progress, reinforcing a focus on health over numbers.
Comprehensive Services
I provide support for a variety of issues, including fertility, hormonal imbalances, cardiovascular health, and other conditions related to weight and nutrition. My approach is always tailored to the individual, respecting their unique needs, preferences, and values.
Consultation Languages
I offer consultations in English and Italian, both online and in person.
