In 2008 I qualified as an Existential and Humanistic Psychotherapist. I have over 15 years experience of working with teenagers and young adults and I work psychotherapeutically with young people and adults.
My approach is Existential and Phenomenological. Existential analysis is concerned with the human condition and how we choose to approach the problems, dilemmas and experiences that we encounter and how to become aware and change the patterns in our living and thinking that may have become obstructive. Existential psychotherapy is a relational approach which means that it examines thoroughly our relationship patterns with ourselves (our bodies, lived experiences), others and the world around us.
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, I adhere to their Code of Ethics and Conduct and regularly attend Professional Development courses to refine and develop my skills as well as attending regular clinical supervision
